Until now, the British Skat Association has had two mailing lists. One
was operated by David Parlett. The other, based at
http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/bska, was set up to replace
the forum that was abused by spammers; people can add themselves to it,
with the approval of the moderator (myself).

The co-existence of the two lists was causing confusion, and we have
decided to merge them. You are receiving this because you were on one
or both of the lists, and are now one the merged list, the one at
http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/bska.

The rest of this email is (even more) boring, and requires no action.

As a member of the list, you will receive all postings to it, and are
able to post to it. You can use the interface at
http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/bska to decide whether to
receive postings as they are made, or in a "digest"; to remove yourself
from the list; and to see who else is on the list. However you can see
only those members of the list whose addresses are "open"; those who
were originally only on David's list all have "hidden" addresses, those
who were initially on this self-maintained list or on both lists all
have "open" addresses. If you want to change your address from "hidden"
to "open" or vice versa, you cannot do it yourself, but the moderator
will do it for you if you ask him.

People can join the list by using the form at
http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/bska, which sends an email to
the moderator, who must approve them before they are added to the list.

There were 13 people on the self-maintained list only; 59 on David's
list only; and four on both.
