Four players took part in a very zippy and fun 36-hand tournament at the German YMCA this evening.

I finally managed to relieve Mike Tobias of the German Welfare Council cup, for two weeks at least.

Mike stormed into the lead and had 206 points on the board before I’d even played a hand, but I then played 12 of the last 23 hands to come through to victory.

Many thanks to Mark Jenking-Rees and Amina Ahmed for helping to make it such an enjoyable evening.
