[casual_games] DirectPlay

This is my first post, so hi to everybody :)

Some time ago, I studied DirectPlay, and I found it very interesting (I studied Winsock too). Why most of you say that DirectPlay is deprecated? Just because it hasn't evolved since DX version 8.1?
