Hey all! A possible job for your students:
The Center for Educational Gaming at the University of North Texas is
seeking a Flash Programmer to provide custom multimedia programming
for web delivery of educational games. Primary responsibilities
include multimedia programming, graphic animation and illustration,
sound editing, and html programming/editing. The successful candidate
will have at least two years experience in Web animation and
programming and must have experience using Flash, ActionScript, Adobe
Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, and MS Office. A portfolio of
previous work is required.
Qualifications Desired:
* Must have Flash 8.0 and Actionscript 2.0 programming skills,
including XML and database integration
* Must have knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS, and Javascript
* Must have Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience
* Knowledge of user interface design
* Ability to implement art work produced by a graphic artist
* Candidate must be organized, self-starting, and precise
* Organization skills sufficient to prioritize and perform several
projects at various stages of completion
* Ability to work under stringent deadlines and meet timeline goals
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Self-motivated but strong on team skills
* A passion for creating and playing video games
