GAMES:EDU is a conference aimed at those teaching games development and
videogame education.
It brings together the Europe's foremost educators from across all
disciplines to connect directly with computer games developers and
producers, to exchange ideas and perspectives.
GAMES:EDU  is backed by Skillset, which works with both the industry and
government to identify and tackle the skills and productivity needs of the
audio visual industries throughout the UK.

Taking our lead from last years comments we are now moving to 2 dates:
29th April in Manchester & 29th July in Brighton.

Games Edu North 29th April
³The Big Boys²
Talks from Sony Liverpool, Evolution Studios, Electronic Arts Burnout Team,
and returning this year are the "Skillset Sessions" - workshops facilitated
by the UK's top educators helping you become producer better students.

Games Edu South 29th July alongside Develop
³Independent Forever²
Talks from Jonathan Blow (only UK talk this year), Introversion (Defcon,
Multiwinia), and Media Molecule (Little Big Planet)

Registration Opens today, and tickets are expected to go fast so book early.
Early Bird closes April 7th (North) and July 4th (South)

Organized by Pixel-Lab, the event brings together the foremost educators to
connect directly with computer games developers and producers, exchanging
ideas, and discussing best practice and perspectives.  GAMES:EDU creates a
space to share best practice and understanding with the aim of assisting
educators to create and drive an agenda that truly meets the needs of the
development community.

Senior staff from Skillset were on hand to share information on the
accreditation scheme and the support package available to those university
courses that have been successful in their accreditation.
