This year's Game education Summit will offer more tracks along with in-depth
sessions on the wide range of game education, offering sessions that will be
of value to your research as well as course development and curriculum
design. They will be having an IGDA EdSIG track that will feature many
really great sessions that we feel are important to the professional
development of educators.

This year GES will feature industry roundtables, as well as a wide range of
sessions on curriculum with advanced sessions for schools with a long
program history as well as sessions that will be essential if you are
starting a game program. This year we have also added a serious games track
along with a track on creativity in the classroom and games as art.

Attendees will also hear directly from the video game industry about what
they are looking for in your graduates and you will hear from program alumni
about how what they learned aided them once they were out in the world.

>From what I understand, GES really put together a good program last year in

Dallas. This year in Pittsburgh, the Game Education Summit will continue to
have a steady focus on the various stages of development of game education
programs as well as the latest research in game studies. The aim of the
conference is to bring together people from various academic institutions
along with video game industry professionals who are interested in finding
solutions to the critical shortage of skilled professionals entering the
video game industry.
