If you're considering hosting a Global Game Jam at your school, check out the short documentary we put together about our event last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b6pxpNN4NQ 

I think you can get some idea of how fun it was for everyone, although the sleepless exhaustion got lost in the editing.  And make sure you catch Jose Zagal, who organized our event and kept it moving, at the beginning.  His footage goes by quickly.
