I would like to announce a tenure track position that we are hiring for in
my department. We are looking for someone with a strong development

About RVCC:

Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), serving Somerset and Hunterdon

*Job Description:*

RVCC is currently accepting applications for a full time, tenure-track
faculty position in Computer Science in anticipation for Fall 2014. Initial
salary will be based on the successful candidate's educational
qualifications and professional experience. The College also offers an

*Responsibilities included but not limited to*:

*Teach Web Design and Development, Multimedia Communications, *Mobile
Development*, and Game Design and Development courses and others as
assigned.
*Assist the Department with Strategic and Tactical Planning for programs
and courses.
*Commitment to the comprehensive mission of a community college.
*Commitment to the principles of a learning centered institution.
*Instruct courses at a variety of times and locations in response to
institutional needs.
*Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by
reviewing, utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery
methods.
*Maintain currency in fields of expertise through self-study, membership in
professional societies and attendance at professional conferences as
appropriate.
*Obtain professional certifications in fields of expertise as appropriate.
*Regularly evaluate courses to ensure that learning outcomes and
assessments are appropriate and effective.
*Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
*Provide access to students through posted office hours, electronic
communications and other appropriate methods.
*Participate in college/departmental professional development activities.
*Serve on College-wide committees.
*Adhere to all College policies and procedures.

*Requirements:*

**Required Minimum Qualifications*:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer
Science or related field is required.
Detailed Knowledge in most of the following areas/products: JAVA,
JAVASCRIPT, C++, C#, JQUERY, NODE.JS, HTML5, CSS3, PhP, some RDBMS, Unity,
UDK, GameMaker.

**Preferred Additional Qualifications*:
Ph. D. preferred.
College teaching experience strongly recommended.
