In MacLoggerDX choose MacLoggerDX->Preferences to open the preferences window.
Within the Preferences window (PrefWindow) select:

ContestID ARRL-SS-CW
[x] Auto Increment TX
[x] Leading Zeros
[x] Show Numeric Exchange
[x] Show String Exchange
[x] Show RST

The Sent sn (serial number) should begin at 001.

Prior to the contest set Rcvd RST and Sent RST to "599" for CW contests, "59" for SSB contests.
Enter your exchange (not the serial number part) in the "Sent" field. For example, "A NE1RD 02 NH".

To log a contact:
Enter the call in the Call field
Enter the received serial number in Rcvd sn field.
Enter the balance of the exchange in the Rcvd field: Precidence, call, check digits, and section.

At the end of the contest review the log. Be sure the "Mode" is set to "CW" for each contact. 

Export the QSOs made in the contest to an ADIF file using File->Export ADIF... in MacLoggerDX.

Start Cab-converter.
Ensure the personal information is correct. (Save personal data if necessary).

Select Contest: ARRL-SS-CW
Select power category, band category, mode (CW).
File->Open ADIF file...
Generate Cabrillo File...
