You are right Chuck. We did publish a paper in 1983:

Phung ND, Harbeck RJ, Helbling-Muntges C. Familial hypogammaglobulinemia. Genetic linkage with alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency. Arch Intern Med. 1983 Mar;143(3):575-7.

I think there was a case published from National Jewish several years ago. I have forgotten the name of the fellow, but one author was Ralph Kubo (I think).

Just a quick survey:

Anyone out there with patients who have both primary immune deficiency (e.g. CVID, CGD, etc.) that ALSO have alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency?

PUBMED search revealed only a few cases reoports of HIV or IgG subclass deficiency.

Came up in conversation today and I could not remember ever hearing about a case.

Thanks for your thoughts.
