[CIS PIDD] [cis-pidd] AT with neurogenic bladder

Colleagues:

I am following a 13yo with ataxia telangiectasia. Although wheel chair dependent she has been reasonably stable until the past 3 months when she developed difficulty initiating urination.

Evaluation by our Urologists has demonstrated a normal ultrasound, but significant retention of urine. At this time they are diagnosing "idiopathic, intermittent urinary retention." Flow and pressure studies are planned to clarify if this reflects a neurogenic bladder.

Have you seen this in your AT patients?
