Dear Joe

Does he have any suspicion of any cause of PID?
Did he have any trauma or septic episode? Which salmonella species was isolated?

Salmonella osteomyelitis is more common in sickle cell anemia and IL-12/23 beta chain and IL-12/23Rbeta1 deficiencies.

I will be seeing a previously healthy boy who has been treated for severe, unifocal salmonella osteomyelitis.

HIV serology was negative, and DHR was normal.

Other than IFNGR1/2 deficiencies are there any other genetic PIDD that would predispose him to this process?
