Dear Joe,

We have done this in about 3 patients who had warts on their fingers. Not aware of the data about HPV antibodies.
Reasoning was it would help induce T cell response and they are at a higher risk as they have shown an increased susceptibility to HPV.

There is also some evidence in the literature to show potential epitope spreading and protection against other HPV types not in the vaccine.
We used the 4 valent vaccine.

Subject: [cis-pidd] HPV Vaccine in CVID or SAD

Colleagues:

This question arose twice today in clinic: should youth with CVID or Specific Antibody Deficiency, and who are receiving Ig replacement therapy, be given HPV vaccine?

Does anyone know if current Ig products contain antibodies to the HPV types in the available vaccines?
