Thank you, Isabelle. Your comment about excipients and excitatory channels in the CNS was most interesting. Do you have a reference or two regarding this? JC

Dear Joseph,

I have had this experience with several Ig products (scig and ivig) in children.
Kids transformed from quiet school kids to angry and almost aggressively behaving children.
I have initially attributed this to the excipiens as most play a role in excitatory channels in the CNS. Trying to split the doses has helped but of course this means more frequent injections.
When i was trying to objectivate this parental description a few years ago, i didn't come accross any literature data.

Best wishes

Colleagues:

I follow a 42yo M with CVID. He had been very stable on weekly Hizentra infusions.

Over the past several infusions he has gotten very "tense" the day after the infusion. This fades by the day or two afterwards. He has experienced anxiety in the past but Ativan has not helped his current symptoms, and he does not believe the tension is the same feeling as his anxiety.

Any experience with this type of reaction? Any suggestions for prevention?

Thanks.
