[CIS PIDD] [cis-pidd] Chronic Lyme and CD57+ cells

Colleagues:



I was asked to see a 19yo who was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, "chronic Lyme disease," and low CD8-CD57+ cells.  She has normal CD16/56 NK cells.

Years ago this association was reported in Immunology Letters (2001; 76:43-48), but never confirmed, likely because the concept of "chronic Lyme disease" is highly questionable.



In any case, what are CD8-CD57+ cells?
