Hi Megan,

When I searched for a lab at the US for serum amyloid A testing, I was unable to find one.
Novartis used to do that for us in Canada, in their XPOSE program for Ilaris, for free. I have attached the form that can be filled out and faxed.
You simply have to write in the "Additional comments" area that you want only testing for SAA, not the canakinumab. You may be contacted to clarify this but then they send you out a box with the necessary materials, instructions and pre-paid courier package. Results have been in a couple of weeks.
I hope they would do it for US patient as well, or could offer a similar help through their patient care program at the US.

Hi everyone,

We are caring for a child with cryopyrin associated fever syndrome who is relatively mildly affected.  The parents do not want treatment with anti-IL1 and we have made a plan to monitor inflammatory markers and hearing.  Does anyone know of a clinical lab in the US that will measure serum amyloid A?
