Hi

I have a one month old male baby who appears to have eosinophilic pneumonitis on lung biopsy. The baby was born at term and developed respiratory distress shortly after birth and has required ventilation since. No pathogens have been isolated and lung biopsy has shown an extensive interstitial eosinophilic infiltrate. He has no other medical issues.

There does not seem to be a lot of literature regarding this condition but it would appear to most likely be some sort of immune dysregulation. I was wondering if anybody has an experience of treating this condition.

Thanks for any assistance

Kind regards

Jane
