We have the same data, although in fewer patients.
ScIg is as good as IVIG for preventing autoimmune relapses. However, ScIg is not as efficient as IVIG for inducing a remission of an autoimmune process. Few cases experience, I am not saying this in the context of a controlled trial.

We did a retrospective (5 yr) study on 60 CVID with ITP, and SCIG was as good as IVIG substitution in preventing additional bouts of ITP… still to be published…

Joe, one preschool girl with chronic ITP and recurring bleedings who did not really respond to other measures than ivig (required almost biweekly, but family didn't want to spend a day in the hospital every two weeks) runs very well now on scig at a substitution (low) dose; I am currently trying to extend the interval to biweekly.

Colleagues:

Has anyone used the subcutaneous route to administer ‘high dose’ immunoglobulin (2g/kg) to patients with autoimmune disease?
