[CIS PIDD] [cis-pidd] Unusual complication of IVIG?

I would check with your urological colleagues, but my understanding is that anything that can lead to fibrosis can cause Peyronie’s including inflammation, infection, bleeding or thrombosis.

Stan:  He had no history of any vascular issues and as I noted this turned out to be Peyronie’s disease and not a thrombus.  JC

I wonder if the transient hyperviscosity associated with the IVIG infusion was enough to promote local penile thrombosis that led to Peyronie’s disease.  Is this an older man?  Did he likely have underlying microvascular disease?

Turns out this was not a thrombus.  It was diagnosed with ultrasound as Peyronie’s disease.  JC

Joe,
It wasn't clear from your post if the thrombosis was temporally associated with and IVIG infusion. I have not had a patient with this problem.
