Idaho's plan only list the event codes we /want /EAS Participants to
monitor/relay.  No Hurricane warnings for us! Event codes that are
legally mandatory (RWT, RMT, NPT, etc) are flagged, as are the "Log
only" events (RWT, DMO).

Some of our local plans make a specific point of saying SVRs are at
their discretion and that LPs can drop SVRs as long as they give advance
notice of such a policy change so the LECC can give their EAS
Participants a heads up that if they want to air SVRs, they'll need to
monitor NWR directly.  As many of you are painfully aware, during "SVR
season", you might as well stop broadcasting those days if you are
forwarding SVRs on a station with a large multi-county coverage area
like mine.  For my station, we "compromise", by forwarding for our three
most populated counties, and ignoring SVRs for the other counties.  That
way the majority of our audience gets the SVRs that affect them, with
minimal disruption of programming. Not a perfect solution, but not a
perfect world...
