While it takes time to ramp up, the public safety information and news 
performance of traditional media (KFI, KCRW, KPCC, KCAL, KTLA, etc) has 
been excellent.  Social media was good for initial quick response, but 
quickly overwhelmed by trolls.

Likewise once the various EOCs were fully activated, AlertLA (LA County 
Office of Emergency Management)and City of Los Angeles use of IPAWS and 
social media has been better than previous years. They are getting better 
at authoring alert content and geotargetting WEA.  They've been authoring 
alerts with relevant information instead of using generic templates 
(which the public view as "alert spam" or "noise").
