[SBE] DTV FAQ

It is possible that we will be receiving more viewer phone calls about
DTV reception than what we have received so far in the past.

Some of the answers may be the same that can be placed on an FAQ
somewhere in the web but some may be changing like those for receiver
specific questions.

Since having an FAQ will be helpful to a number of us (I presume that
"some" of us have to answer questions for viewers), will it be possible
for SBE to take this up as a project and come up with answers to FAQ
posted on a web page of the SBE? A website for the public just for
explaining DTV and its reception will be much better.

Is there presently a study of the different commercially available DTV
receivers out there that we can help viewers with? I'm not sure if the
Consumer Report magazine is already working on this but won't it be good
that broadcast engineers take the lead here?

We have to be armed with info about DTV receivers as well since the
layman (including the GM and the Sales people) will gauge the
effectiveness of our expensive DTV facilities using viewing experiences
and our ability to explain why those who used to get us in analog are
just receiving freeze frames now.
