For those of you who are not able to attend NAB2007 next week and are
interested in the SBE EAS meeting, it will be available via the Internet. Go
to: http://www.bnetstreaming.com/asx/eas.asx to connect. The meeting will be
held from 2 pm to 4 pm PDT on Monday, April 16.

Among the guests slated to speak at this year's gathering are:

David Webb from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), who will
deliver a presentation on IPAWS (Integrated Public Alert and Warning
System). David is IPAWS Project Officer which is under the Readiness
Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Jason Shattuck from Warning Systems Inc. (WSI) will speak on the CAP driven
EAS system that is being used in Washington State and which has been a pilot
project for FEMA. Jason is Systems Analyst with WSI, Inc.

A report of the EAS Summit recently held in Washington, D.C. by Adrienne
Abbott.

These three programs will provide a significant look into the future of EAS
and our public warning system.

The SBE EAS meeting is chaired by Clay Freinwald, CPBE, SBE national Vice
President and chairman of the SBE EAS Committee. Anyone interested in EAS is
encouraged to attend the meeting. NAB2007 badges are not required for
admittance. For those attending in person, the location is Ballroom G of the
Las Vegas Hilton.

Our thanks to Dave Biondi of Broadcast.net, Kevin Webb of Tieline, Vinny
Lopez and Carol Lee of Trilithic who collectively have provided equipment
and funding to make the live steaming on the Internet possible. The program
will also be audio recorded and archived for later listening.

Best regards,

John Poray
