[SBE] Ready to turn analog back on?

Already the head of the NTIA has resigned. Possibly because of his
failure to require analog pass through on the converter boxes for the up
to 80 percent of TV stations that could still be analog after Feb. 17.
(LPTV's)

We have 4 LPTV's and, at this time, we can't see how we can change them
to digital by that date.

This is going to go over very, very badly indeed!  Those older folks who
do not have digital have a lot of political oomph and might just raise
enough hell to cost some jobs at the FCC.  And you're right, Henry,
suffer the folks out in the boonies with only LPTV and translators.  If
I had to lay a bet on this, I would bet against the FCC.....

In case you missed it, the FCC is now hinting that Feb 17th may simply
be a 
test because the FCC and some of congress are worried they will get a
lot of 
hate mail on Feb 18th.  You think?  In other words, Feb 17, 09 will just
be a 
test of the nation's broadcast system shutting off analog TV to see if
anyone 
is watching, and Jerry Springer et al. might be back on the 19th.
Confused? 
Imagine the viewers with only LPTV and translators to watch!
