[SBE] LED tower lighting

My top one of GEN-I survived 5-1/2 years on a 1/4 wave 50kw AM. I am
replacing with a GEN-III and yes, I will probably have a current sensing
problem on my existing I need to deal with. Or, I can look out my back
door and see it.

My top GEN-II is about 3 years old and I am in process of replacing it's
P/S with a GEN-III one....under warranty.

When I converted my whole tower to LED...I also installed a "Unimar"
Controller. It does quite well on individually monitoring each beacon
(I have 7) and each side marker tier of 3 fixtures. I used existing
wiring from my old EG&G Strobe light system and left over wiring from a
Rosemont Ice Detector system that was also a waste of money.

Replaced a 3ph 480vac CB with a 20amp 120vac one. This system has been
in place about 3 years with no other issues. And no more headaches of
strobe problems!

I'm curious to hear from someone with LED beacons. How have they
survived the top spot on the tower?

Also, has someone figured out a way to monitor the current draw
situation that Cris describes?
