Amen, me neither!!  When these "Alternatives", cars and otherwise, overall
cost the same as the other choices, then they'll make sense.

 HOWEVER, I'm *not* going to pay a multi-thousand dollar premium for
 a hybrid car, with a 20 year amortization, regardless of whether or
 not it saves corn, or gas, or whatever.
