Fair enough, Bill, but then why the extreme level of electronics knowledge
needed for the First Phone and the amount still needed for the GROL? An
"operator" really would not have need of this level of math .... he or she
would need only to know enough to do their jobs.

I think the FCC could approach it from the standpoint of it being an
impediment to the proper "operation" of the station....

Having said that, I wonder why the FCC won't get involved in this? They
started the downward slide when they de-regulated everything, and now it
seems like everyone and their brother intends to try to exert their
authority over the broadcast industry.

Because, if I recall correctly, the FCC never licensed "engineers",
only 'operators'.
