I thought an 891 was an old Triode used in 40's vintage AM rigs. I recall
using 819's and 892's waaaay back

I used their rebuilt 891 klystron in an RCA back in Albany, Ga. and got
excellent service. Unlike Cal tube labs and some others, they actually test
the tubes before shipping them out. In the case of the 891's (30kw uhf) they
pre-tuned the cavities for me. I never did want my transmitter to be the
test lab for a new, untested tube! It's now run by Harry's son, there are
some good, and very friendly RF techs. I strongly recommend a tour of their
facilities when in South Louisiana, very intersting! I was impressed with
the clean room. These ladies were soldering a grid of wire fine as a human
hair under magnification. Lots of cool RF stuff!
