Since the line is open @ 300 feet, does your TDR show any coax above that?
You may have other problems. I would make a temp splice at the holes, then
check the line to see if you have more issues. Having an open at that point
also
indicates a strong likelyhood of other problems, such as VSWR that simply
found
the weakest spot to burn through. Check the antenna at the antenna input
before going any farther.
