I think the part you were referring to was (from the CDC's warning):

What Henry referred to was the notion that a virus is not (as)
affected by germicides as bacteria.

Both right so far as I can see, from the enclosed. Note the proper
concentration and technique references. Generally good practice to
eliminate germs (bacteria) where possible. Viruses are more likely
spread by contact with sick people. Much more... Stay home when sick,
don't cough openly... All the stuff your mom told you.

Avoid panic. Breakout the blowtorches!
