Hi all:

Congratulations to Vinny Lopez and all those who won the various posts
during the recent SBE national Election. It was really great seeing
Vinny in Binghamton, NY this week and to be able to announce his
election for the first time to those assembled at the founding chapter's
Taste of NAB road show presentation.

Week seventeen on the Taste of NAB Road Show also begins the month of
September and it takes us into Rochester, NY and Pittsburgh, PA. So far,
we've had over 1242 in attendance. See the unedited comments at:

<http://www.tech-notes.tv/2009/2009_Comments.pdf>. (They are added to
this URL as they are received.)

The first two of this week's three presentations will be in Rochester,
NY - on Tuesday, September 1st. There will be two presentations at this
location with one starting at 1:00 PM and the second starting at 6:30 PM
with a repast of fine victuals happening between that will be provided
by Brian Szewczyk, District Sales Manager for their Radio RF and Studio
Systems. All this will take place at the Rochester Institute of
Technology's School of Film & Animation in their Studio A. These two
presentations are jointly hosted by Rochester's Society of Broadcast
Engineers' Chapter 57 and the Rochester Section of the Society of Motion
Picture and Television Engineers. For maps, etc., please visit:

The _third_ presentation this week will be hosted by Pittsburgh's SBE
Chapter 20 on Thursday, September 3rd in the studios of WQED. Food and
social time hosted by Axcera and will start at 6:30 PM, with the
presentation to begin at 7:00 PM. For maps, etc., please visit:

There is never any admission charge to attend the Taste of NAB Road Show
presentations and they are open to anyone interested in broadcasting,
post production and their related disciplines. Price and delivery is
never discussed as The Taste of NAB Road Show is NOT a sales blitz, but
rather an educational experience. Over $1870 in door prizes will be
drawn for at the end of the day at each of these two locations. Note: a
final drawing will take place when all the Taste of NAB Road show has
been completed its trek. These are for some rather valuable door prizes.
You can see all the door prizes at:
