[SBE] Question about Radio Station ID for HD services --

I have a Ford with the factory HD Radio in it and AM stations show up
as: (Frequency) WXXX-HD1. I thought it was odd since for now at
least, AM doesn't have a high enough bit rate to accommodate
multicating.

Although I seriously doubt they would gig you for it, the Wxxx-AM
COLicense would NOT be legal. The Wxxx-FM could be if the license
specified Wxxx-FM. There are no Licenses that are -AM."

I guess that then brings to some level of curiosity the appropriate
syntax for AM-IBOC stations? Would "WXXX-HD Anytown" be appropriate (I
know that's the way it typically shows up on the display)? "WXXX
Anytown AM-HD" or something like that? Would this be another case of
"if you're picking this up on an HD Receiver that's
digital-identification enough?"

I'm guessing the latter.
