Hi,

Yes I am a Ham (general class getting ready to bump up to extra class)...I
can use the Derry repeater without a problem (they are pretty friendly
people). I will check out the IRLP link you mentioned, I would love to
participate.

Thanks,

Russ

and I see you are a Ham: KB1FID

Do you have VHF radio equipment and use repeaters?

I see there is an IRLP node on the 146.85 mHz. repeater over in Derry,
NH, about 25 miles from you.

The SBE reflector is 9615. There is the twice monthly SBE IRLP
meeting of the air on the Reflector. I've been monitoring and using
the Reflector occasionally and trying to encourage other Broadcast
Engineers to use it. We have plans afoot to put a couple of the
CBS-TV Ham club repeaters on the 9615 reflector eventually.

Maybe you could make some interesting contacts on the SBE reflector
and with other IRLP Reflectors and nodes. I'd certainly be glad to
talk with you.....

Of course, the danger is the club in Derry may throw you off their
repeater if you use it too much!

Just a thought......
