Chad -

It's a work in progress in most areas, in some locations, here in Washington State for example, we are rolling out out own system, much of it with the new ENDEC's. And yes, in our case, TV stations that are connected with hardware, will be getting their crawl information from CAP and NOT the old Header Codes. This is another example of what I have been preaching for years. You can upgrade your states EAS system to what ever level you would like....or....You can wait for the Feds to do something.

Contact Don Miller at Washington State (d.miller at emd.wa.gov) for more information.

What is the status of EAS CAP.
I'm helping a broadcaster add a Sage ENDEC-HD to their network.

Is the CAP message pushed to the ENDEC (does the ENDEC need a public IP address)
Or does the ENDEC poll for the CAP messages? (only requires internal IP address with Public Internet Access)
