Cowboy

I've got a 1kw tube rig that we used for back-up at 104.7MHz. It had very little on-air time, just sat there with the filament on. It will need a tube. It has a solid state IPA that once had a power raise/lower but that failed and we never wanted less than all it had anyway. It is a Henry 1000D Xmtr built by those guys that did all the ham stuff. It is a nice compact single rack unit about 40" tall and on casters as I recall. It is sitting in storage in Pendleton, OR and my GM/VP would be amazed if I were to bring him a reasonable check for something we haven't used in a lot of years. I pulled it out of service I'm guessing six or eight years ago. Cosmetically very clean. It uses a couple of military type multi-pin disconnects that would be hard to find if they ever failed. I remember that it was a little difficult getting the full 1kw near the top of the band. I have no experience running it at any other freq. I can't recall the tube but it looked like a miniature 8990. I can find the old book I think if you are interested. It probably shows up on line also.
