Double check to be sure that SSPA was not a model name (Solid State
Power Amp) rather than a company name.

Subject: Re: [SBE] SSPA Microwave

The truck has a redundant system of two encoders, two upconverters and
two PAs.
I think that the PAs are in the 40-50W range,
There PAs are mounted on the hub and fed with superflex from the
upconverters.
The PAs go through a redundancy switch to select the PA to feed the feed
horn.
One PA is dead, I cannot get any signal indicated from the monitor port
and have signal through the superflex to the PA.
The other PA started dropping power over a period of a month or so and
now cannot be driven to full power.
Up to a point the output power follows the drive, then additional drive
produces no more output where in the past it did.
This is equipment made by the, now non existent, company SSPA from
Canada.
We are also having issues with one of the upconverters not producing the
drive level it once did.

Do you have information on SSPA made PAs?

Thanks

I am fighting problems in our Sat truck.
The installed microwave equipment was made by SSPA in Canada.
SSPA no longer exists.
Does any one have manuals or experience with SSPA equipment?
These are Ku Band transmitters.

Thanks
