[Techtoolslist] Programming 8742 for Fluke 9100 display driver

The 8041A has 1024x8 rom and 64x8 ram
The 8042 has 2048x8 rom and 128x8 ram
the 8742 has 2048x8 rom and 256x8 ram

so yes, you should be able to use the
8742 as long as it is fast enough

Would have to look at the datasheet to find the speed.

You will need a good copy of the rom code and a programmer that can program
the 8742.
