Maybe Town Meeting members should be alerted also to the fact that the first ZBA hearing for requested variances on the 3.5 acre MillSt./former Brigham's site abutting the High School is, I believe, scheduled for the same time as this stretch code info meeting.

Attention Town Meeting Members:
INFORMATIONAL DISCUSSION FOR THE PROPOSED ADOPTION OF
"THE STRETCH ENERGY CODE"
Inspectional Services along with The Department of Planning & Community Development will host an informational discussion regarding the basics of the proposed "STRETCH ENERGY CODE"
Annual Town Meeting will consider Article 14
to adopt the Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code. Adoption of the Stretch Energy Code is necessary for Arlington to receive state designation as a Massachusetts Green Community, allowing the Town to compete for energy grants.
Due to the complexity of the Stretch Energy code, a briefing for all Town Meeting Members and interested parties is imperative prior to the vote.
Michael Berry, Project Manager for Energy Star Homes and Marc Breslow, Director of Transportation and Building Policy will discuss the code and answer questions.
The meeting will be held at
Arlington Town Hall
April 27, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
