60x60 - Burgundy Mix - May 20th 6:00 PM - University of Wisconsin

Come to a free hour-long concert to be held beginning at 6pm Thursday, May
20, in the Music Room located in the Wallace Student Center on the
University of Wisconsin-Richland campus and you'll not only hear new music,
you'll have the opportunity to meet and talk with the composer of one of the
featured pieces.

The concert will feature a selection by University of Wisconsin-Richland
student Emerson Aagaard entitled "2-2."

James Aagaard, UW-Richland music director said, "This will be a good
opportunity for local persons to get a taste of what's currently going on in
the field of electronic music."

"Vox Novus 60x60" is the title of the program, apt because the compositions
are 60-seconds each and the program includes 60 pieces. In addition to
hearing the music, guests will have the opportunity to hear from the
composer and ask questions about his work, and the project.

According to their website, "Vox Novus produces and promotes new music. (The
organization is) dedicated to contemporary music, the musicians who perform,
and the composers that write the music of today. (Their mission) is to
cultivate a music community and make their work available to the greater
public."

More information about the 360 degrees of 60x60 project and the mix
featuring Aagaard's composition can be found online at:
