Vox Nouvs is calling for works for flute and percussion duet for performance
on its May Composer's Voice concert.

Works should be 6 minuites or less in length.

Pieces can be written for any flute including: C flute, bass flute, alto
flute, and piccolo.

Percussion instrumentation should be as small as possible with the foloowing
exclusions:
-no 5 octave marimba...if marimba, only 4 or 4.3 octave
-Vibraphone yes, but no marimba and vibes together
-no timpani
-no large bass drum (kick drum is fine)

Essentially, anything else is within the realm of possibility, kick drum,
wood blocks, temple blocks, vibes, tambourines, opera gongs, nipple gongs,
cowbells, random metal instruments, cymbals, shakers, castanets, guiro,
ratchet, ribbon crasher, casaba, etc.)

Pieces should be submitted as an attached PDF file.
A jpg photo of the composers should be attached.
A 125 word biography should be in the text of the email submission.

Deadline for the submission is: March 15, 2011

The results will be announced by March 31st, 2011 on the Vox Novus website
and the composers of the accepted works will be notified by email.
