[Voxnovus] Composer's Voice - October 30th, 2011 featuring clarinetist Bruce Curlette

This Sunday, the Composer's Voice concert series will be featuring the
clarinetist, Bruce Curlette. He will be performing 15 new works written
for him by 15 different composers from around the world for the 15 Minutes
of Fame. He will also be performing works from Steve Reich, Austin K.
Jaquith, and David Morneau.

Dr. Curlette is an active performer who has been featured on national venues
such as the Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium and the national conference for the
National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors.

Composers selected for Fifteen Minutes of Fame: Virginia Botha, Remigio
Coco, Douglas DaSilva, Malcolm Dedman, Jim Fox, Tony Franklin, Murray Gross,
Stanley M. Hoffman, Gabriel Malancioiu, Peri Mauer, Jose Mora-Jimenez,
Serban Nichifor, Rossano Pinelli, David Shergold, Luca Vanneschi.

Fifteen Minutes of Fame is a collection of 15 one-minute acoustic works
composed specifically for a specific performer or ensemble. Vox Novus places
a call-for-scores and 15 pieces are chosen from the works submitted. The
works are then premiered on the Composer Voice concert series.
