15-Minutes-of-Fame: < 15 with Suzanne Mueller
Deadline July 15, 2012

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute solo piano works composed by children
under the age of 15 for a very special 15-Minutes-of-Fame: <15. The
one-minute cello works are to be written specifically for this project. The
selected pieces will be performed at the September 30, 2012 Composer's Voice
concert in New York City by cellist Suzanne Mueller.

Specifications: Submission guidelines:
- Submission Deadline July 15, 2012
- This call is open to composers, 15 years or younger on January 1, 2012.
- Works must be submitted as a PDF file with a 50 word (max) biography and
parental consent form. (Because of the age of the composers, we suggest
keeping personal biographical information to a minimum.)
- The 50-word biography and 50 word program notes must be pasted as text in
the body of the email. Please do not send these as attachments.
- All correspondence and contact information must be via a parent or legal
guardian. So, teachers, if you have a student-composer, their parent must
submit the work with the parental consent form.
- Works need to be submitted via email to: composersvoicesubmit at gmail.com by
July 15, 2012
- The subject line of the email should read - 15-Minutes-of-Fame: <15 -
Composer Name - Composition Title
- The 50-word biography and 50 word program notes must be pasted as text in
the body of the email. Please do not send these as attachments.
- The composer's picture must be attached as a jpg file.
- The score must be attached as a pdf. (performance notes should be included
with the score.)
- Include the dedication either "to Suzanne Mueller" or "to Vox Novus - 15
Minutes of Fame" on the score. The performer prefers only dedications born
out of sincerity.
- Works should be composed specifically for this project and its performers.
All pieces must be premieres and not previously written or performed.
- Works must be realistically one minute or less in length. No works over a
minute will be reviewed.
- Do not submit sound files

No works over a minute will be reviewed. Multiple submission are
discouraged. Send your best work! The results will be announced August 30,
2012 on the Vox Novus website, and composers of the 15 accepted works will
be notified by email.

Cellist Suzanne Mueller is a graduate of both the Pre-College and College of
The Juilliard School. She is a founding member of CROSS ISLAND, a
cello/piano/clarinet ensemble , and of the guitar/cello duo Mueller & Russo.
