[Voxnovus] Call for Scores - Fifteen Minutes of Fame: Suzanne Mueller, cello & Thomas Piercy, clarinet

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for Fifteen Minutes of
Fame: Suzanne Mueller, cello & Thomas Piercy, clarinet to be performed on
the July 22, 2012 Old Westbury Gardens concert in Old Westbury, New York.
The one-minute clarinet and cello pieces are to be written specifically for
this project, which will be performed by Suzanne Mueller and Thomas Piercy.
All works must be 60 seconds or less.

The theme of this call is the painting "Giverny Revisited" by Raisy Derzie.

Submission guidelines:
-Submission Deadline May 22, 2012
-Works written for cello & Bb clarinet duet only.
-The work should incorporate the theme of the call - the painting "Giverny
Revisited" by Raisy Derzie
-Works must be submitted as a PDF file with a picture of the composer,
50-word biography, and 50-word program note about the piece.
-Do not submit sound files
-Works must be realistically one minute or less in length. No works over a
minute will be reviewed.
-Works need to be submitted via email to: composersvoicesubmit at gmail.com
-The subject line should read: 15-Minutes-of-Fame: Mueller-Piercy- Composer
Name - Composition Title
-The 50-word biography and 50 word program notes must be pasted as text in
the body of the email. Please do not send these as attachments.
-The composer's picture must be attached as a jpg file.
-The score must be attached as a pdf. (Performance notes should be included
with the score.)
-Include the dedication to Suzanne Mueller & Thomas Piercy on the score
-Works should be composed specifically for this project and its performers.
All pieces must be premieres and not previously written or performed.

No works over a minute will be reviewed. Multiple submissions are
discouraged. Send your best work! Fifteen Minutes of Fame: Suzanne Mueller,
cello & Thomas Piercy, clarinet is open to all composers of any nationality,
age, or career stage. The results will be announced June 22, 2012 on the Vox
Novus website, and composers of the 15 accepted works will be notified by
email.
