Tournament (a.k.a. Der Yodel-Off), but things really got out of hand the
time the Graubunden Gutenmorgens and the Fribourg Frankfurters inadvertently
selected the same song, "Bei?en Sie mich," to perform.

themed Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame: Land of Mystery and Trolls with Eva Ingolf.
The concert also discovers the fantastical home built instruments pvc flute,
and cardboard tube created and performed by Skip La Plante. The concert will
be rounded out with a variety of art songs by David Morneau, Eric Nathan,
and David Rimelis.

The son of country western singer "Idaho Ed," David Rimelis was raised on
American folk and popular music; he has won prizes in a number of regional
fiddle contests. Rimelis is artist-in-residence for the New Jersey State

Center He is also Director of Music Education for the AIDS Resource
Foundation for Children in Newark New Jersey. His music is featured in the
film about violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg "Speaking in Strings", PBS and
New Jersey Network documentaries "Summer Camp", "It's Red It's Edible It
Bounces", the Mo Willems cartoon "The Man Who Yelled," and the feature film
"She Devil." National Television appearances as featured musician include
"Emeril Live" (improvising original music as "Dr Strings), CBS's "The
Guiding Light" (fiddler and country band leader), and NBC's "Four Stories"
(volunteer music teacher to HIV affected children).

Eric Nathan's served as Composer-in-Residence of the 2013 Chelsea Music
Festival (New York) and 2013 Chamber Music Campania (Italy). His music has

music has been recognized with awards including the 2013 Rome Prize, ASCAP
Rudolf Nissim Prize, BMI William Schuman Prize, four ASCAP Morton Gould
Awards, and a Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and

Announcing the results of the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with pianist Anoush
Moazzeni and tenor David Souza to be premiered on February 23, 2014 for the
Composer's Voice concert series at the Jan Hus Church in New York City.

The composers selected for this Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame are: Guilherme
Afonso, Syrlane Albuquerque, Rodrigo Baggio, Bugra Balci, David Bohn, Erik
Branch, Inna Buganina, Fermino Gomes, Jean de Liere, Daniel Mihai, Liam
Moore, Gisela Paterno, Antoine Quembre, Jose Jesus de Azevedo Souza,
Anne-Marie Turcotte

The tenor David Souza began his music studies at the Beethoven Music
Conservatory in Sao Paulo (Brazil) and at the Municipal School of Music of
Sao Paulo. He holds a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Music
Faculty at the Laval University in Quebec City, Canada in the class of the
canadian basse-baritone Michel Ducharme and a Bachelor of Music degree in
Vocal Performance at the State of Sao Paulo University (UNESP) in Brazil. He
studied voice Lenine Santos, Marcia Guimaraes, Elenis Guimaraes, and Grazia
Carbone . He was invited to sing at the opening and at the closing concerts
at the Canadian edition of Festival Eurochestries 2012 at the Palais
Montcalm. As an invited artist he sang opera and zarzuela arias in a series
of concerts at the 2012 season of the Symphopop Quebec Orchestra conducted
by Jean Picard. In 2012 he won the First Prize for "Solo with Orchestra
Competition" and he was also a winner of the "Disk Recording Competition
2012 Edition" at Laval University, where he recorded Brazilian Art Songs
with the pianist Anne-Marie Bernard. He also received the prize of best
singer of Brazilian popular music at Cotovia Competition in 2000 in Brazil.
As a soloist he sang at several recitals of chamber music and concerts with
Big Band and Orchestra in Brazil and in Canada and he also sang in Carl
Orff's Der Mond from Carl Orff, and Puccini's Gianni Schicci and recently
Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Monteverdi Il Combattimento di Tancredi e
Clorinda. David Souza was born in Brazil and currently lives in Quebec City,
Canada.

Persian born Anoush Moazzeni enjoys a performing career that has frequently
taken her around the world. Highlights of recent seasons have included
visits to Canada - where she collaborates with the Orchestre OSP de Quebec
under Jean Picard- Europe, and the Middle East. she has performed at several
venues including Roudaki and Avini Hall at home in Tehran; in France at
Salle Varese, Rotonde de l'insa, Musee d'art contemporain de
vielleurbanne;and salle Henri Gagnon in Canada. She has scheduled her next
concerts in Brazil, NewYork and Tehran for Autumn 2013 and Feb 2014.
Versatile recital programs encompass the contemporary and standard
repertoires, as well as less familiar fare. Particular areas of interest
include Electroacoustic Music, Modern?Contemporary Music and Performance Art
. In a career that embraces many aspects of music making, she also appears
as a sound designer and concerto soloist as she specialized her Master of
Music in Piano Performance in Contemporary music. She interned in
Electroacoutic Music, Sound Engineering and Algorithmic composition at
Ircam/Centre Pompidou in Paris, in Germany under Mark Nishinaka and in
Canada with Aaron Liu-Rosenbaum. She made diverse sound installations and
live performances in France, Germany, Netherlands and Canada. As a graduate
in Musicology and Piano Performance Ms. Moazzeni has started to translate
the ''Silence'' of John Cage to Farsi, to be published in March 2014. Anoush
Moazzeni was born in Iran and educated in France, Iran and Canada. She
studied piano with Raphael Minaskanian, Dilbar Hakimova, Svetlana
HeganianArthuro Nieto-Dorantes and Maurice with later earning admissions to
CNSMD de Lyon( Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et Danse de
Lyon), Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris- John Cortot, ENM(Ecole Nationale
de Musique)- Mantes la jolie , Jacobs school of music-Indiana university-
USA .

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces for brass quintet composed for
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame: Nautilus Brass Quintet to be performed June 29th,
2014 on Composer's Voice concert series at Jan Hus Church.

Emerging as one of New England's most ambitious musical ensembles, the
Nautilus Brass Quintet has quickly established a place for itself in the
world of brass chamber music. NBQ was founded in Boston, MA in 2010 with the
distinct mission to proliferate the accessibility of cultivated brass
chamber music through educational outreach and artistically relevant
performance. Nautilus has been grand prize winners at the Rodney Mack and
UConn Brass Day competitions, prizewinners at the Plowman competition, and
finalists in the J. C. Arriaga and Koetsier competitions. Recent performance
highlights include recitals throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New
York, performing at the 2013 Northeast Horn Workshop, a performance of Eric
Ewazen's "Shadowcatcher" with the University of Connecticut Wind Ensemble,
and a performance with the new music collaborative NOVA Musica.

Deadline: February 28, 2014


Vox Novus is calling for music for dance to be presented on two performances
in New York City on MaD Circle in the summer of 2014. MaD Circle is a
special dance and new music performance on the Composer's Voice concert
series in New York City. One performance will feature music and dance
inspired by the waltz form, the other inspired by the tango form. All
selected music will be choreographed for these performances. This call is
open to all composers. There is no fee to submit.

The works should find their inspiration in, and incorporate the style of,
the Tango form OR the Waltz form. Composers are free to interpret the
selected form how they see fit. All works must be rendered in recorded form
(either electro-acoustic composition or recordings of live instruments). No
live music will be used for this project. Works must be 3-5 minute in
length. No works over 5 minutes will be reviewed Submission Deadline:
February 28, 2014

Circuit Bridges is looking for electroacoustic works to present in its
monthly concert series at Gallery MC in New York City starting March 27,
2014. The concerts will feature a quadraphonic speaker system. Any composer,
regardless of region, age or nationality may submit one work. There is no
fee to submit. Composers will required to enter their contact information as
well a short biography and program notes for the work.

Works can be up to a maximum of 10 minutes in length. (Works shorter than 5
minutes are encouraged.) Circuit Bridges accepts all electroacoustic works,
but we especially seek music that falls within one of the following
categories:

> 2-channel stereo

> 4-channel quadraphonic - surround sound

> Video

> Live Performer and fixed media

> Live electroacoustic works



1) For consideration, applicants must register and complete an online
