Annual Guitar Concert on May 31st at 1:00 pm at Jan Hus Church in New York,

their recent call-for-scores including works by Nathan R. Johnson, Blair

"it's on the edge of what's happening" -Brant Lyon, Great Weather for Media

The UK Guitar Quartet was formed for the express purpose of premiering Juan
Trigos' 25-minute, genre expanding Guitar Quartet (2009), which was
commissioned by the Tantalus Quartet but left un-premiered. A technically,
musically, and rhythmically challenging masterpiece, the work redefines the
guitar quartet with intricately interwoven rhythmic layers with four equally
prominent parts. The UK Guitar Quartet is led by University of Kentucky
guitar professor Dieter Hennings Yeomans, and joined by Dr. Jay Sorce,
Andrew Rhinehart, and Jeremy Bass.

Founded in 2001 by Robert Voisey, the Composer's Voice Concert Series is a
collaboration between Vox Novus and Jan Hus Church and has had more than 100
concerts in New York City. Performances are short chamber concerts held at
Jan Hus Church and are an opportunity for contemporary composers to express
their aesthetic and personal voice. Works are chosen from a wide range of
contemporary composers and performed by dedicated musicians devoted to new
music. The series has presented the works of hundreds of living composers
from around the world. Concerts are held two times a month in the afternoon
on the second and last Sundays of most months. The performances are recorded
and archived to further promote the new music, performers, and composers.
Audio, video, scores, and programs can be found on the Composer's Voice
website. www.ComposersVoice.com

The Composer's Voice Concert Series, listed as "One of the premier showcases
for promising composers" by Time Out New York, will present works from a
unique set of composers, including Juan Trigos, Nathan R. Johnson, Blair
Whittington, Thomas Schuttenhelm, Kevin Scott, Justin Breame, Juan Maria
Solare, and Juan Calderon. These composers' works have been performed around
