Composer's Voice Features Pianist Matthew McCright at Weill Recital Hall at
Carnegie Hall

Featuring Matthew McCright, Composer's Voice is presenting the piano works
of eight contemporary composers at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

Matthew McCright has performed extensively throughout the United States,
Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific as piano soloist and chamber musician.
He has thrilled audiences and critics alike with imaginative programming
that places the greatest piano repertoire alongside the music of today's
most innovative composers.

"Minnesota-based pianist Matthew McCright, a member of the piano faculty at
Carleton College...has proven to be an intrepid explorer of new music..." -
SEQUENZA 21

A four-time winner of the Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative,
McCright's affinity for contemporary music and curiosity in seeking new
sound worlds has led him to premiere numerous pieces. He is also an
accomplished recording artist with six solo recordings.

Composer's Voice is proud to bring Matthew McCright to champion the piano
works of this diverse set of living composers. A recording of the pieces is
being made to ensure proliferation of the music into the future.

Composer's Voice has been listed by Time Out New York as "One of the
premier showcases for promising composers..." The concert series has
presented over a thousand of new works in New York City and has featured
hundreds of musicians who champion those works.

"Composer's Voice concerts are always contradistinct, each necessarily
presenting a different set of composers, forces and styles. Where they do
not differ is in that the concerts are presented with intelligence and
invention. This approach towards curating a concert is truly refreshing,
fulfilling expectations but also offering the unexpected..." - David
Mecionis, SoundWordSight

Composers presented in this performance include: Kirsten Broberg, Kyong Mee
Choi, Christopher Coleman, Sean Friar, Dorothy Hindman, Mike McFerron,
Ingrid Stolzel, and Robert Voisey.
