Come listen to Occupy Cello with Craig Hultgren!  Interspersed with
interviews with the artist and several of the composers.

For several decades, cellist Craig Hultgren has been a fixture on the
scenes for new music, the newly creative arts, and the avant-garde.
Recently leaving Birmingham after more than 30 years as a member of the
Alabama Symphony, he now resides outside of Decorah, Iowa as the
farmer-cellist.

In 2013 Craig Hultgren and Vox Novus put out a call for cello scores to
select 15 for the concert series Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame. This set of
Fifteen Minutes of Fame: Occupy Cello - Upsetting the Musical Status Quo
specifically looked for playable works that challenge the traditional role
of the instrument Resource for contemporary cello techniques.

Composers who works were selected include:
Daniel Arite, Emanuela Ballio , David Bohn, Dieter Buwen, Ross Feller, Matt
Horrigan , Chris D. Burton, Magdalena Kress, Serban Nichifor, Douglas
Ovens, David Peoples, Robert Percy , Alan Shockley, and Juan Maria Solare.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works by different composers
written for a specific performer or ensemble.  Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame
gives hungry audiences a taste of what is being created by living
composers.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame was designed by producer and composer Robert Voisey
to create an opportunity for composers to get their works performed and
heard by audiences around the world.   Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is a Vox
Novus production.

Vox Novus is a new music production and promotion company whose mission is
to empower contemporary composers and musicians.  Vox Novus is responsible
for creating and promoting more than 500 performance events in over 30
countries in various media formats premiering the works of thousands of
composers and artists around the world.  A few of Vox Novus projects
