[Voxnovus] Call for Scores - Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with harpist Danielle Kuntz

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces for pedal harp composed for
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame: Danielle Kuntz to be performed on March 12,
2022 at 2:00 PM broadcasted online with Virtual Music Halls and Vox
Novus.
The one-minute pieces are to be written specifically for this project,
which will be performed by harpist Danielle Kuntz.

Submission Deadline January 31, 2022
All works must be 60 seconds or less.
Works must be composed for solo pedal harp.
Parameters: For this project, no electronics, no scordatura, no
preparations on the instrument. Any extended techniques listed on
harpnotation.com are allowed
Works must be realistically one minute or less in length.
No works over a minute will be reviewed.
You will need to register with Music Avatar for free to submit your work
online.
After logging in to Music Avatar, select the opportunity named
"Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with Danielle Kuntz for pedal harp" and press
the "submit" button to start the submission process.
Composers will need to provide: a maximum 50 word biography and 50 word
program notes.
Composers will be able to upload a score as a PDF file (You are also
encouraged to upload an audio realization of the work)
Performance notes should be included in the score.
Selected works will be broadcasted online to multiple video streaming
platforms including Facebook, YouTube, and Vimeo. No performance
royalties will be paid. Selected composers will be asked to sign a
consent form.
Works should be composed specifically for this project and its
performer.
All pieces must be premieres and not previously written or performed.
Only one work will be accepted.
Results will be announced via the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame website.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works written by different
composers specifically for a musician or ensemble.
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame gives a variety of new music by living composers
to audiences hungry to hear what is being created in today's music
scene. The Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project has featured more than 75
musicians/ensembles premiering the works of over 1000 composers in New
York City. The project has presented works across the United States and
10 other countries.

Danielle Kuntz
As a classically-trained harpist, DANIELLE KUNTZ has always gravitated
toward new and little performed music. Fueled by her desire to make the
harp accessible to composers, she has built a growing library of harp
writing resources and tutorials. Danielle also collaborates with
composers around the world and aims to make her resources available to
student composers. Danielle is also an advocate for new music within the
harp community and seeks to encourage harpists to move beyond their
comfort zone and explore new music. Danielle holds an M.M. in Harp
Performance from the University of North Texas and currently resides in
Ann Arbor, Michigan.
