Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring baritone Andrew White

Deadline: May 14th, 2021

Vox Novus is calling for one-minute pieces composed for
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame with baritone Andrew White with or without
electronic accompaniment.  To be premiered online with Virtual Concert
Halls on July 17, 2021 at 2:00 PM.

Only works one-minute in length for baritone voice will be considered.

Guidelines:

-Works are for baritone with or without electronic accompaniment.
-No works over one minute (60 seconds) will be reviewed.
-Works should be composed specifically for this call and performers.
-All pieces must be premieres.
-Multiple submissions are not accepted. Send your best work!
-Works need to be submitted online at:

-You will need to register with Music Avatar for free to submit your work
online.
-After logging in to Music Avatar, select the opportunity named
"Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame featuring baritone Andrew White" and press the
"submit" button to start the submission process.
-You will need to provide a maximum 50 word biography and 50 word program
notes.
-You will be able to upload a score as a PDF file
-You must upload electronic accompaniment if it is part of the submission.
-Composer must include the dedication to Andrew White on the score.
-Performance notes should be included in the score.
-Deadline for submission is May 14th, 2021

Results will be announced via the Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame website.

Andrew White

Dr. Andrew White currently serves on the voice faculty of the University
of Nebraska at Kearney. He holds a Bachelors and a Masters Degree, as
well as an Artist Diploma and Doctorate from The Cleveland Institute of
Music/Case Western Reserve University. Previous faculty positions
include Indiana University of Pennsylvania, The University of Akron,
Hiram College, Lake Erie College, Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory
of Music, and Ashland University. In 1995 he made his New York debut in
Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in a program devoted to the songs of
Frederick Koch with the composer at the piano. Ken Smith of New York
Concert Review hailed Andrew White as "...a formidable interpreter... Every
song composer should be so lucky with collaborators."

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is 15 one-minute works written by different
composers specifically for a musician or ensemble.
Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame gives a variety of new music by living composers
to audiences hungry to hear what is being created in today's music
scene. The Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame project has featured more than 75
musician/ensembles premiering the works of over 1000 composers in New
York City. The project has presented works across the United States and
10 other countries.

Fifteen-Minutes-of-Fame is a Vox Novus project.
