[Voxnovus] 60x60 Dance at Slippery Rock September 22, 2022

[New Voice in New Music]

Slippery Rock University's Dance Department is hosting its first concert 
of the academic year with two presentations of its annual 60 x 60 x 60 
concert, 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., Sept. 22, at the Dance Studio Theater in 
Stoner West. The concert features 60 performances by SRU students to 60 
pieces of music, each of which are 60 seconds long. Tickets are $5 and 
can be purchased online at sru.universitytickets.com.

This year's concert features a collaboration between the SRU Dance, Art 
and Theatre departments, in conjunction with New York Based Arts 
Organization Vox Novus. It contains dance and theatrical performances, 
with videos and other visual art featured in the performance.

"We are thrilled to have the Art and Theatre Departments collaborate 
with us," said Andy Hasenpflug, SRU dance musician and Artistic Director 
of this concert. "The interdisciplinary nature of the 60 x 60 x 60 
concert is a wonderful way to showcase departments working together to 
create an exciting event that offers a variety of creativity."

In all, there are more than 100 students participating as performers, 
choreographers, visual artists and crew members in the 60 individual 
pieces, including both solo and group performances.
